WOW! My own piece of digital Real Estate! Property Ladder baby!Welcome to my boudoir, take yo shoes off first tho! ;) May 26 MayDayFinally put my pics up from MayDay cos I'm done for the year (at last). Got some catchin up to do so here's a start.
I was lookin forward to MayDay cos loadsa people said it was great last year. Anyway I spread the word and as usual I had plenty of people to come along with me...until of course I actually went. Lovely Rowena still held up her end and came with Dave later so thanks guys. So I walked to Langstone (wasnt gonna wait for the bus cos it was bank holiday and might never turn up) and it was a much longer walk than I thought it would be. My effort paid off cos it was probably the first hot day we've had this year, really nice strollin along without shivering...
There were dozens of ppl when I got there, luckily i knew some so I wasnt caught wandering too much. Loads of inflatable things too
 . There was laser tag aswell but I totally forgot to have a go on that  . I was surprised there was no music outside. There shoulda been a big system playin the Beach Boys or summat, get a proper party atmosphere. hmm... and the queue at the bar took FORever. Why am I complainin though, as u can see from the photos I had an excellent time. I arranged to meet up with Alaina who lives there. I've met her twice before (was lookin for sum1 to go Tango with, long story blahhh..) but she is a great girl, although i feel she doesn't think enough of herself. Got more in common than any1 else at uni, I hope i've found a good friend in her, very rare nowadays. She introduced me to her flatmates, Rylan Kirsty and Matt who were all very nice too. Loadsa ppl were wearin sombreros n I wanted one too but i dunno where they came from I beat Dave on the Duel but then I got flattened by Rylan, think i need some more practice at that. The weather got a bit annoyin half way cos the damn clouds kept on dancing around and blockin my precious sunlight. Thank god it didnt rain. I managed to get onto the Bronco last. Didn't do quite as well as last time - i swear the guy put it on full speed just so he could go home sooner!! Spent the evenin inside the bar and there was plenty of homo sillyness to keep us occupied. Francesco and Darren turned up by that time, quality geezers, fashionably late! I think Cesc took his time so he wouldnt have to face me on the Duel. I know he was scared!! ARSENAL won aswell!!! YAY. I stayed on to the end forgettin the task I had of walkin all the way back at midnight. But it was totally worth it, there was a cool band and then cheeeesy classic disco afterwards. Gotta be one of the best days I've had. I know I say that about every day that I have fun....
Got home and had some mammoth dinner, didnt eat all day and the food there was looking a little suspicious... Shame I didnt see Kristian, I didnt have his number while I was there. Its been over 3 weeks since then and I'm really in need of another positively good day or I might go mad. Have to go home 2moro (not lookin forward to it) so I'll write another story next week. bye bye
May 04 RIPBeen disillusioned for a little while, hence the absence.
I got a call on 3rd April that a close friend of mine had been killed in a motorcycle accident the weekend previously. As always the emotion and feeling at that moment is indescribable. Ali is the second friend to have been so wretchedly taken away from our lives. We used to see each other almost everyday during our gap year, I came to know him well making this tragedy all the more difficult. He was another unique individual. His sense of humour was unrivalled and many of us came to love him for it. You could never take him seriously because he was always trying to lighten the mood or make best out of a bad situation by inappropriate comedy.
After leaving QE he strayed a little since he was unsure of how to proceed. I'm glad he confided in me and I hope I helped him to realise his potential. He started a course at UCL but he told me it wasnt exactly his scene. He had aspirations to try and jump into the medical field - and he was serious about it too. Just goes to show the willpower he had, he was willing to retake any A Levels he needed. I'm happy that he found contentment when he started riding. At least his exodus was in doing something that he loved.
The funeral was on Weds 5 April. I knew the pain would be tormenting but I had to see him once more before he was laid to rest. It was a fitting tribute that the members of his biking forum gathered and gave him a farewell procession from Regents Park.
RIP Ali Yassin
Sorely missed but never forgotten.

March 30 WALKOVERMy usual four day weekend was extended up to its 6th day on Tuesday. I had been waiting for tuesday in eager anticipation for it is the traditional nemesis of Arsenal - the Champions League Quarter Finals!!! Been there many times before but always failed to go further. To the sound of my screaming and jumping around the room Arsenal literally destroyed Juventus 2-0 in the first leg. Their lack of discipline has left Juve with many players missing the second leg. If we get a goal next week then its without a doubt OVER! Semi Finals here we come for the first time. Fingers crossxed it feels like our year!!
I finally completed the storyboard I've spent ages deliberating over... Getting some work done at last, I think the absence of time remaining has prompted my instincts to shift my ass. Spent 6 hours animating yesterday too. Looking forward to an all-nighter today to finish the job. I love all-nighters - I work so much more efficiently at night time. Watched Elektra on tues which is one of the worst films ever - avoid that at all costs. Day After Tomorrow yesterday and that didnt do too much better either. Good old Bodyguard planned for tonite, at least it can be relied on.
I should have gone out yesterday in hindsight. There was sposed to be a huge combined social between the tae kwondo, dance and cheerleading clubs. Sounded fun but by the time I finished skipping it was too late. Yeah I bought a skipping rope off eBay. EEEEEBBBBAAAAYYYY!!!!!! 30 mins of that everyday and I'll become a skipping machine!
Kate was warming up the wax yesterday, I sillyly volunteered to have a go so looks like I'm gonna get a waxing one day soon. I don't see the big deal, apparently men cant handle the pain....whatever....
In addition to StreetFighter Champion I am still reigning in the Darts Championship!!
Still cant decide a topic for my media studies essay. Probably gonna settle with the legitimacy of animation as an art form cos nothing else appealing at the moment. I was typing up some of my analysises and realised I really know how to chat shit sometimes. Not a bad thing either - this shit sounds reallly reallly sophisticated...LOL
Out March 28 NOCTURNEI am trying so hard to get back on track.
My work has been suffering over the last few weeks because I have essentially given up and I have no reason for it. Theres some weird psychological reason behind it I'm sure. Still find my self waking up at silly times then doing anything but work. I'm probably still questioning "what is the point". Can't give up now though...
Gym attendance has slipped too. Must make sure I get down there tonite. Again I ask whats the point of it... Cooking some gourmet couscous today. Cant believe how expensive food has become. Basic commodities are starting to look like luxuries.
It was Very windy today. So much so that I saw a CHAV have his dutty baseball cap blown off his head into the middle of the street 3 times!!! LOL what amusements
Watched "March Of The Penguins" tonight. Definitely worth watching. The penguins are soooo CUTE I'm glad they won an Oscar. Gourmet couscous rocked!!! No lectures tomorrow cos lecturer is having a nose job so postponed till friday YAY! So a couple more hours of CallOfDuty2 are in order.

If I don't get kissed by the time I'm 22 then I'm gonna wanna kill myself. Its so depressin to think that I'm the only person who hasnt even had a date yet.
OK now that I've got that thought out of my system...

May 26 BLANK CANVASOh wow last few days have been mad. Lemme start by showing you what I look like right now (pics at the bottom). Yep me and a coupla guys have gone mad by celebrating the champions league european style!! I KNOW liverpool won and i'm very happy for them. You know I'm an arsenal fan so I'm just doin this for no reason. Think I might paint on the George Cross for saturday's England game. I'll take some pics of course if i do. So yeah the match was quality tonite. watched it down the Union. There were 6 of us supporting AC and about 200 supporting liverpool. So there was a bit of conflict there. Was chatting to very hot Italian girl after the match (another AC fan - always great to see girls into football) so its alll gooooood. And met a hottt chelsea fan when I got back to halls. Again its alllll goooood! Had work today. LONG! and we had a fight with squirty cream in the stock room so that was a bit different. LOL Went casino last few days as well but I win then lose and cant seem to get anything back so I've given up on it. Just call the loss an experience and be done with it. Know I'll just lose more if I go again. So no more of that! Oh crap just remembered I need to send off my student loan form 2moro. Better write a note to myself on the fridge. These last 3 weeks of term are going really quickly. I hoped they wouldnt because I'm really enjoying them. First time its felt like I'm at uni (loads of time to socialise etc) Made the worlds most incredible sandwich yesterday. Me and Cesc took an hour buying the perfect ingredients for it then munched em up while watchin Analyze This. Mmmmm yummy. I think I'll make some more 2moro. Oooooooo Guacamole!! Got silly work at 9 again 2moro so go to sleepy now. gnite May 23 HUSKYSlowly getting my revenge back on the casino. Got back with £10 today. hmmmmm hate going there but hey, i'm silly. almost got my voice back today after playing tennis like a mad man. gotta start practising hard. love my sport. hate it when i play crappy. ARSENAL WON. STILL CANT BELIEVE IT!!!! WOO HOO! I'm really hungry but cant be bothered to make food. So bored. everyone still got exams so i jus gotta wander round n find summat to do. gonna start some serious training tomoro morning. pretend i'm the star of the new hollywood action film. get really buff Yeah! Eva Green said that she didnt fall in love with Orlando Bloom in Kingdom of Heaven. Hell if he cant do it, how will I? interestin theory. Really miss my friends back home. Vanessa Mae is hot I wanna watch BIll and Teds Excellent adventures. The university halls people are totally ANAL! £27 bloody pounds to replace a grill pan handle. what eeeediats! why on earth am i writing on here. no one understands the way my head works anyway. ok its 2am so i'm gonna make some dinner and watch a movie. |
